Sustainability
We believe the future lies in harmony between what we create and the world around us.
We are committed to conscious design, created to last — design that does not deplete resources but instead contributes to a longer, healthier life cycle for spaces and the people who inhabit them.
Harmonium has created a Recycled PET Acoustic Panel, a material made of 100% polyester fiber with at least 75% post-consumer recycled content. This way, we transform waste into raw material and give new life to materials that would otherwise become plastic waste.
The impact of this type of waste on the environment and human health is a global problem with serious consequences. That’s why, at Harmonium, we are proud to contribute to its reduction, preventing it from ending up in our oceans.
Each Harmonium PET panel helps to:
- Remove 6.2 kg of microplastic content that would otherwise end up in the oceans.
- Contain 205 PET bottles per sheet.
- Equivalent to 60 bottles per m².
For every square meter installed, we prevent 171 single-use PET bottles from ending up in our oceans.
In Harmony with Environment
Acoustic comfort for people, in harmony with the environment
Our commitment goes beyond the people who enjoy our solutions and the collaborators who make our work possible; our commitment extends to the forests and oceans of our planet.
Harmonium’s high-performance acoustic solutions are made with 100% polyester fibers containing a minimum of 75% recycled single-use PET. The environmental and health impacts of plastic waste are global and can be severe. We are proud to contribute to reducing this pollution, helping to prevent it from ending up in our oceans.
- Each Harmonium PET panel helps to reduce 6.2 kg of microplastics from the oceans.
- For each panel installed, we prevent at least 75% of single-use PET bottles from ending up in our oceans.
We believe in the benefits of our products:
- 60 recycled bottles per m².
- A minimum of 75% recycled material helps reduce the use of virgin, fossil-based fibers.
In Harmony with People
At HMN, we go beyond a safe and healthy work environment. We involve every team member in training and development processes. Each person is a potential source of innovation and continuous improvement. The HMN team personally participates in local and regional beach cleaning efforts across Spain, helping reduce ocean plastic waste.
As community members, we ensure that all our suppliers and external partners share our vision and sustainability policies.
Total Harmony: Circularity and Zero Environmental Impact
Our products can be 100% circular and achieve a neutral environmental footprint throughout their collection, transformation, and distribution processes. We know this is not an easy path — it requires everyone’s collaboration — but we are ready to take on the challenge.
In Harmony with Processes
Our unique process for producing cross-linked, low-melting polyester fibers (low-melting PET fibers bonded to X) allows us to minimize energy use and avoid waste generation in the fiber and panel production process. The source of thermal energy is natural gas, and 100% of the electrical energy comes from nearby renewable sources.
We believe in our long-term goals.
In the cutting phase, we also work with processes that use 100% renewable energy, 20% of which comes from our own solar installations.
We are committed to efficient water use. Reducing water consumption in the fiber fusion and cutting processes helps lower eutrophication and acidification levels in both freshwater and saltwater ecosystems.
